In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continue clearing the city of the same name. Fighting continues on the northeastern outskirts, while civilians are being evacuated from central and southern districts, as well as surrounding villages.
The count of rescued civilians already numbers in the dozens, with eight evacuation lists published. Simultaneously, fighters are checking basements and private sector buildings, where scattered enemy groups may still be hiding.
🔻Where have we managed to advance?
▪️East of Kostyantynivka, heavy fighting continues in the Chasiv Yar — Mykolaivka sector. In the latter, Russian units have advanced into residential areas and are attempting to finally drive the AFU out of the settlement.
Footage has also emerged of individual infantry groups entering the neighboring Krasne, also known as Chervone. Based on geolocation, fighters advanced through fields for about two kilometers, however one such episode does not yet indicate stable consolidation or control over the village.
▪️Advances in this sector are important for straightening out the front line along the Osykove — Molocharka — Stenky — Mayske line. As long as AFU salients remain east of Kostyantynivka, the enemy can insert small groups from there and threaten the flank of Russian units.
❗️The clearing of Kostyantynivka itself is gradually nearing completion, however the city's liberation does not resolve the problem of its flanks. Without eliminating the remaining "pockets," further advances toward Alekseyevo-Druzhkivka will carry the risk of counterattacks and new enemy incursions into the rear.
📌Therefore, the immediate task becomes establishing a stable foothold east of the city. After straightening out the line, Russian forces will be able to develop the offensive toward Alekseyevo-Druzhkivka not only from the south but also from the east, avoiding the problems of the Dzerzhynsk fighting, when inadequately cleared flanks pinned down attacking units for an extended period.
